- Avocado: 1 (thinly sliced)
- Soy Sauce (the lighter one, for serving)
- Wasabi Paste (for serving)
- Pickled Plum/ Ginger (for serving)

How to cook Japanese Rice: Step-by-Step Process:
Let us see the process to cook the Japanese plain rice. Look at the step-by-step process below.
Step-1: Take the plain uncooked rice of the desired measurement and put it in a pot. Rinse the rice thoroughly. Make sure the rice is cleaned properly. Rinse for some time until your rice is cleaned.
Step-2: After you have rinsed the rice thoroughly, drain the waters and add some fresh water to your pot. Rinse it again.
Step-3: Strain the rice of its water properly with the help of a sieve.
Step-4: Put the rice in a cooker and add the water. Cook the rice for at least 12 minutes or in case the rice is old, maybe half an hour.
Step-5: Once the water in the rice is absorbed completely, the Japanese rice will be ready.

How to make Sushi Rice: Complete Guide
Here we go. Note down every small detail if required. We are going to make some sushi rice.
Step1: Rice Cooking
Just like the Japanese plain rice, rinse the rice for sushi thoroughly. Strain them well and put them in a cooker. Add the water as per the measurement of your rice.
Bring the rice to a boil. Later, reduce the heat and cook for at least 12 minutes. After the rice is cooked, set them aside for some time.
Mix the vinegar, sugar, and salt altogether in a bowl. Transfer the rice to a bowl. Use a spoon to break the lumps. While breaking the lumps, gradually pour in the vinegar mixture.
The rice and the vinegar have to be set properly. Fold and fan the rice continuously for 15 minutes.
Place a sushi mat. The surface should be clean and the map placed horizontally. Place the nori sheet upside down on the mat (shiny part down). Wet your hands with water and spread one-sixth of rice over the nori sheet.
Step-4: Veggies and fish
Place the fish slice and the avocado slice right on the center of the rice. You can also use pickled radish and carrot to give the stuffing a colorful look. Roll the sushi mat.
Make sure the filling stays in place. Enclose the rice with the filling. Repeat the process for the other batches.
Step-5: Slice and Serve!
Slice the sushi with a knife into thick slices. Serve it the soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
